Facilities
In order to create a good environment for student's learning and teacher's research, the Department has made comprehensive plans for space application and teaching facilities to maintain good interaction, whether in academic study or in daily life counseling. The overall space of the department is divided into seven categories: teacher office, department office, teaching classroom, teaching laboratory, research room, seminar room, and reading&rest area. It is distributed on the eighth, seventh, fifth, second, first floors and the basement of the Scripture Building. The functional description of each floor is as follows: 8th Floor – Communication Lab SF849A, DSP Lab SF849B, VLSI/CAD Lab (SF850A), Biomedical Engineering Lab (SF850B)
7th floor – The core place of the Department, including:
- Department SF725A and SF725B, 17 teachers' offices, teaching classrooms SF738 and SF742 and seminar rooms (SF722, SF732, SF736).
- Lounge area: The best places to discuss courses or life for teachers and students.
- 10 research rooms, namely: Computer System Research Laboratory (1) SF712, Computer System Research Office (2) SF713, Intelligent System Research Office (1) SF721, Embedded Network Communication Research Laboratory SF733, Mobile Computing Research Office SF734, communication research room (1) SF739, network laboratory SF740, VLSI/CAD research room SF741, intelligent control and automated robot research room SF743A, power and energy conversion system research room SF743B.
5th Floor – The main basic teaching laboratory of the Department, including:
- Microcomputer/Control Lab (SF548), Embedded System/Computer Network Lab (SF549), Electronic Circuit Lab (SF550)
- Neuroengineering and Cognitive Enhancement Laboratory SF513
2nd floor – Communication Research Office (2) SF216, teaching classroom SF235
1st floor – Teaching classroom SF132
Basement – Smart System Research Room (2) SFB04, Intelligent System Research Room(3) SFB05, Special Research Offices SFB16 and SFB30
In addition to the Scripture Building, there are several teaching classrooms and offices located in other buildings. On the second floor of the Medical College Building (the Cardinal Shan Building), there are two teaching classrooms MD202 and MD203. In the Science and Engineering comprehensive classroom, there are alse 2 shared rooms.
