In order to expand the students' vision of the future industry and start to understand the development trend and direction of the industry during the school period, the department specially arranged an Electronic Technology Lecture course for junior students. The course is conducted in the form of lectures, discussions, and writing of experiences. Every time, We will invite a lecturer who has graduated from the Department for many years or has just graduated. The more close-knit speeches and discussions will strengthen the feelings of the students at school, so that they can get a stronger understanding of the relationship between different curriculum planning and industrial needs.
From the beginning of year 2018, the electronic technology lectures have been mainly dominated by the Alumni Association. The vice president of the board, Mr. Jiang Cong-pei, invited the lecturers and served as the lecture introducer together with the president Jiang Hong-you. Many speakers have been specially come back from the United States, Japan, the mainland and other places to participate in the grand event. Looking at the outstanding performance of the seniors, the students also feel more proud and are more confident about their learning and future planning.
In the year 2019, Jiang Chong-xiang and Lu-Ri invited the lecturers and served as lecturer introducer. This time, in line with the expertise of the alumni, more outstanding scholars and experts were invited to make lectures more in-depth and extensive and further promote the connection between the department and the outside. The lecture mainly focuses on five major themes: millimeter wave radar 5G communication, AI artificial intelligence / Internet of things, medical electronics / academic electronics and future trends and prospects, semiconductor IC design and careers. The five themes of entrepreneurship are at the center. Inviting alumni, elites, and scholars from all fields to join lectures, such a strong lineup will bring the latest knowledge and trends of academic and industrial circles to those younger students and also teach the planning experience of the career. Through this lecture, the students expand their horizons, find the direction of learning, and master their future as early as possible. Welcome to join and share the valuable experience of the seniors.
In addition, in order to strengthen the new students' understanding of electrical employment and the connection between young alumni and the department, from the beginning of year 2019, the course "university introduction" will invite some younger alumni to join the department to share their career experience. On the one hand, they will enhance their confidence in learning; on the other hand, they can understand the diversity of employment in the field of electrical engineering.
